    The

       Surfside is a beautiful oceanfront community located in the
       tropical paradise of South Florida. The Town, with a population of
       only 5,600, combines a tranquil, attractive, residential
       neighborhood with a traditional "home town" shopping district and a
       number of resorts and hotels which host tourists and other visitors
       all year around. The Town of Surfside is comprised of oceanfront
       condominiums, single family homes and multi-family apartment
       buildings. Harding Avenue, is the primary commercial district which
       runs from 88th Street to 96th Street. Just South of Surfside is

           racial makeup of the town was 93.50%

           population was spread out with 16.3% under the age
           of 18, 4.5% from 18 to 24, 29.3% from 25 to 44,
           24.0% from 45 to 64, and 25.9% who were 65 years of
           age or older. The median age was 45 years. For every
           100 females there were 86.9 males. For every 100
           females age 18 and over, there were 86.4 males.


           

    The median income for
           a household in the town was $50,927, and the median
           income for a family was $56,327. Males had a median
           income of $47,147 versus $39,181 for females. The
